Buddha, the Enlightened One is the legendary Sage of the East, who dedicated his life to searching for spiritual truth and wisdom. Eventually he attained enlightenment under the sacred Bodhi-tree. However, his compassion was so great that instead of leaving this planet to enter Nirvana he remained on Earth in order to teach his wisdom and help all sentient beings to attain enlightenment.
